Mojo has a collar, but never wears it. For going places and walks, he uses a harness, but we do not keep it on in the house. He isn't chipped either. But, he is never anywhere without us...and if we are outside and he is walking free, he is good about staying by us.......we live out in the country on lots of land (no excuse), but I wouldn't allow him to walk free (even w/ him staying by me) if we lived in town or near people.
