Yes Kelly your 6 month old puppy should have grown out of the hypoglycemic stage! I personally have only had two puppies that have ever went through that and they were the runts in their litter. So your puppy went into a coma the night you brought her home? This makes me very angry and I am so sorry that you have had to go through this! I also was going to suggest liver shunt or a liver issue. I purchased a male once that had episodes of low blood sugar and when he was 7 months old he was diagnosised with an external shunt. His acid bile level was over 300! The shunt was fixed and the vet also neutered him at the same time. He is now over 3 years old and as healthy as a horse in a pet home! How long ago was it that you purchased your female? When I place a puppy I send everything with it, including his/her bed! I always send nutri-cal and also what is called Dyne, but I always run a liver profile on my puppies and if the number come back bad, than I run a acid bile test.
