1. Is Pedigree a good brand? I don't know what's really good for their diet quite yet, and I want to give her something that'll give her all the nutrition. She likes wet food the best.

2. She doesn't really eat her dry food. Is there anything I can add to make it more appealing, and still leave it out during the day? I don't want to overfeed her, though I'd like her to fatten up.

and lastly - How do you get a yorkie to "fatten up"? Emma looks a little thin.

Also -- I've got some snack questions as well..

What do you guys give your dogs as snacks? I don't know what's healthy and what's just bad for them, and I'm afraid to give them human food because I'm afraid she'll like it and then not eat her puppy food.

AND...those Dentabones...are they able to chew/eat those? I've been afraid to give her those as well because the packages say they are not made for toy breeds.

HELP please. I feel like I'm such a paranoid mom
I always coat my furbabies' dry food with the wet food to make it appealing to them. I highly suggest you try that And they sure finish it up so there is NO need for me to leave dry food around. I don't free feed them. I also add a dollap (sp) of cottage cheese on their breakfast meals which is really good for them.

I think Pedigree brand dogs aren't as good for them . . . check the ingredients. I feed mine Innova which is all natural. There are so many great brand foods though but Pedigree does not fall under it Not bad though, just not the best kind for our dogs

My doggies snack on different kinds of treats. Pup-peroni (they got one at a gift exchange and loved it so much), dried muscle/tendon (does not stink and all natural), those beef/chicken/lamb you buy that looks like a log (good to freeze) so it goes a long way. I never gave them dentabones.
