Thanks Dena. The 6 year old female sounds good. Since I already have 2 male dogs, I think a female would fit in better. There is enough testesterone around here as it is.

But, the 6 or 7 month might be okay. He'd be young enough to train. My older Scottie, Spike 6 yrs old, is true to his name. He can be so nasty. He's big dog aggressive. He gets along great with Oliver, my rescue. I've thought about getting a puppy too but that little older girl we found seemed to fit in so well, that's why I thought rescue would be the way to go but they are so hard to find.
