I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else after they got their puppy spayed. I thought I took Coco to a vey good vet but it has been 3 months and now she has an infection along the incision. Its is really swollen and looks awful.
At first it was just a little red and pussy, (I even felt like i was overreacting when I took her to the vet)...I took her to the vet and they said it was from the stitches desintegrating and that her body is attacking them. They gave me a cream and an antibiotic to give her and she got better withit a few days so we discontinued using it. But now the infections suddenly looks REALLY bad. It is really swollen and red and ugly. I have been putting the cream on her belly and giving her the antibiotic.
Has anyone else ever heard of this happening??
I think I am going to take her to get a second opinion. Any advice? Thank you!
