The fee not only includes the stud service, but my advice and knowledge throughout the mating, pregnancy and being on hand for the delivery, and puppy care. The fee is $800.00 (which is close to the price of pick of the litter); however, there are provisions for adjustments down from that price like: there has to be at least 3 puppies, only two and the price goes down to $500.00; only one and the price goes down to $300.00. If a C-section is performed, the price goes down to $500.00 for 3 puppies and $300.00 for 2 or less. Puppies that die before selling or have any health problems that prevent selling are not counted.
I think it is fair since I've been on both sides. |
wow that too complicated...
Im one that keeps it simple stud fee is paid in full upon pick up of the bitch "if no live birth or only one pup results" theyre entitled to one repeat breeding with the same bitch or another of their choosing. I only stud to friends BTW that adhere to pet spay and neuter.
I dont believe its fair to request pick of the litter unless youre mentoring; providing stud service, assisting in the whelp and rearing of the babies.
