Do people here put collars on their dogs and leave them on all the time? If so, do you leave it on when they are wearing their harness? Isn't it dangerous to have a collar on?  Even when the pups are playing, they tug on each other's top knots, clothing or whatever - I can't imagine the fun they would have pulling on each other's collars! 
Just looking for advice and opinions from you folks with experience in this..

I used to leave a collar on Ferdinand at all times that he didn't have a harness on. Now I don't really ever put a collar on him. He's been having some weird breathing problems lately (Dr says it's reverse sneezing), so I didn't want to aggitate it futher with a collar.
You could always microchip yours for that extra safety if they escape!
