I used to leave a collar on Ferdinand at all times that he didn't have a harness on. Now I don't really ever put a collar on him. He's been having some weird breathing problems lately (Dr says it's reverse sneezing), so I didn't want to aggitate it futher with a collar.

You could always microchip yours for that extra safety if they escape!
