My dog licked his nose for what seemed like hours after be bumped it. He is used to jumping up on the spare bed from a little stool and we had company over and they moved it... well, he still tried to jump and ran his little nose right into the side of the bed! He yelped a little, but seemed just fine behavior wise besides the licking. I figure he was doing it because his nose was a little sore. So, maybe if he is being specific with his licking, it is something like that.
