Tara, have you tried glueing? Check this out

It's for "Tear Mender" and it's a glue to use for setting the ears, just apply on the top 1/3 of the inside edge and hold ear together. The oils from the ears will make it let go in a few days and then the ears should be up. I've heard that it's used a lot. Hope it helps...Theresa & The Boys
