I finally got a call back from AKC today, and they won't do ANYTHING!!!

They said unless I had purchased a puppy, and could send them the papers and photos of the dog, and several reasons why I thought the dog wasn't purebread, that there wasn't any action they could take.

I explained the conversation between myself and the breeder, and that I knew the female had tied with another dog that was not purebred. I told the AKC rep that I knew that there was a good chance the puppies weren't purebred, and the reasons I thought this (her selling them so young, raising the price, calling them "Christmas" puppies, etc.), but she maintained that AKC couldn't do anything based on my allegations, that they needed proof.

So basically, as long as the buyers don't know the story of how the female was bred, and don't notice that their puppies aren't pure yorkie, the breeder gets off scott free! I even asked this question when I was on the phone with AKC, and she said, "yes m'am"!!! Ugh.

I was under the understanding that any multi-sired or possible multi-sired litters MUST be DNA'ed before registering the puppies. This makes me leary of ANY breeder-I bet this kind of thing happens more often than you'd think!
