Is he in a room or does he have the run of the house? Have you tried leaving the TV on? Some dogs love the TV! Does he have company...another dog, a cat? Is there a neighbor or a dog walking service you could hire to walk and play and spend time with him?
8-9 hours is a long time for anyone to be left alone, especially yorkies who thrive on interaction with others. If I was close, I would offer to puppy sit for you. Is there anyone from YT in your area? Anyway you can arrange a longer lunch hour just for this week so you can go home to him in the middle of the day? |
