The exact same thing happened to me! My vet advised me to take the dog back which only made it easier since the breeder had a attitude about it. I only had the puppy for about 12 hours so I felt bad but I didn't want to get too attached. It took me 4 months to get over it an now I am waiting for my new little guy. I looked for another breeder through the YTCA. My breeder now already knows my story and knows I will not have a problem bring him back if he has a serious conditon. The problem with the previous puppy was he had 2 ear infections and a heart murmur. He had just had his health check that morning of the day I picked him up. When I took him to my vet the next morning all of this was discovered. I was out the money for the physical, microchip, and vaccinations. This time I will have the physical done BEFORE the vac and microchipping.
