He had been in a car accident a few years prior and was suffering from chronic migraines. The dr's put him on Oxy's. He knew he was hooked I had talked about it with him in great depth the previous year when we saw him he lived in DE. I told him when he was ready to get help that all he had to do was call and I would do whatever I could to see that he got the help. I even asked him if he was ready and he thought about it for a few minutes and said no. That right now he just couldn't stand the thought's of more pain. I told him I understood and that I was there for him to just always remember that.
We're still not real sure what happened. I think that maybe he had taken his pills and then forgot and took some more on top of them and then he was going somewhere in his car. Well you can guess what happened next. Luckily it was just a single car no other's involved.
I blame the doctors for putting him on such high powered meds to start with. Of course I'm no doctor but, I would think that there would have been something else that they could have put him on the help manage the pain just as effectively.
