About 25 years ago I was working for an organization that required me to go around to disabled peoples' homes to interview them regarding their special needs...ANYWAY....this particular day I was to work in the downtown area and as my two bosses had meetings in the area, they said they'd give me a ride.

I was dressed very business-like..in a skirt and blouse, pantyhose but no undies. We were stopped at the city's busiest intersection at a red light and we decided that this would be a good place for me to get out of the car. (A two door car) One boss got out of the passenger seat and pulled the seat forward for me so I could climb out. I put one foot on the ground and tried to climb out. I ended up falling, landing on my butt, legs splayed wide open with one foot caught in the seatbelt of the car! For the life of me I couldn't get my ankle out of the seatbelt! That one leg was straight up at an uncomfortable angle...almost impossible for me to reach to untangle the belt. My one boss that was standing right in front of me was red with embarrassment. He just stood there for a minute...the longest minute of my life! The light turns green and horns are honking and all eyes are on me....still showing my stuff!

My boss finally reached down to untangle my ankle and helped me up off the street. I grabbed my briefcase and got away as quickly as possible....I think I left my pride in the middle of the intersection that day...lol...I can only imagine the conversation in the car after I left! It sure was hard to look them both in the eye the next day at work!

Even though it's been 25 years, it's still so fresh in my mind. I will NEVER forget that day.
