When my Westie had lots of skin problems the vet ran blood tests for thyroid problems and go her started on thyroid meds. He also ran tests for any food allergies. She was allergic to anything with wheat in it. I now have a Yorkie and her skin seemed to itch with nothing visibly to cause it. I now use Cowboy Magic shampoo, conditioner and detangler and keep her in a puppy cut.....she's a much more comfortable doll baby !!!
