I also have not had a problem at most places (malls, grocery stores, etc.), but I always carry my boys in a shoulder bag. I haven't had a problem in grocery stores - the QFC employees come over and pet them. The boys went carpet and kitchen shopping with us a couple of weeks ago without a problem. The only places I know that aren't dog friendly are the home depot and starbucks as fasteddie mentioned. We live in Redmond and Redmond Town Center shopping area is very dog friendly as a lot of the store owners bring their dogs to work with them. My boys can walk on a leash in most stores there.
Fasteddie - have you tried carrying Yoda into the home depot lately? I know they have a no dogs sign posted, but I'm curious if they would get mad if a dog were carried or in a bag (I heard the reason they stopped allowing dogs was due to people not cleaning up the messes their dogs made, but this wouldn't be a problem if they were in a bag). We go there all the time and the boys always have to wait in the car

I'm not brave enough to try to bring them in yet!
