Do show dogs have to be drugged (anti-depressants and the sort) in order to cope with being cooped up in kennels all the time? I read an article about how dogs that are shown on a regular basis are usually very depressed because they are not aloud to run and be dogs, for it might mess up their coat or they might strain a muscle . . . etc. . .

Is this really true? Please, be honest, and please only answer if you absolutely know that your information is true, not just what you THINK is true. I really want to know.

Thank you.
I personally have never drugged one of my dogs in order to show him/her. I do know some people that will use a natural anxiety medicine called Rescue Remedy. But that is the only product I personally have ever heard of being used on a show dog. I have actually since owners use it before entering a ring!
