Glad you have a new vet. You never do an x-ray before Day 50 it is very dangerous (and your old vet did two???). The puppies skeletons don't become calcified enough to show up on an x-ray until late stage pregnancy that's why the diagnosis was wrong.

I think false pregnancies are fairly common. I have never had a female that didn't look obviously pregnant at least 2 weeks before delivery. At this point you can even feel the pups moving around. Expectant mommies waddle and the weight gain is obvious. |
