Getting pregnant on the pill does mean that an egg was released at some time during the cycle, possibly by a missed pill or two and not using back-up bc methods. That is the most likely reason. The incidence of ovulating on the pill and getting preg. when taken correctly is only about 2 %. So getting preg. while on ocp can only happen with ovulation, breakthrough bleeding however is for different reasons. Cancer of the endometrium is generally the area of concern when you talk of cancer with the use of hormones, I have never heard of cancer of the cervix being a concern with the use of hormones. I'm not saying its not possible, I would be interested in seeing some information on this. 90% of cancer on the cervix (and I'm saying cancer not dysplasia or inflammation) is caused from HPV (human papiloma virus) that is left untreated. I hope your cancer was treated and your doing ok now, that must have been quite a scare. How do you like school??? When you finish you will have your phone ringing off the wall with family and freinds asking you medical questions

Its a very rewarding profession.
The best of luck to you.
