First I wanted to thank you all for the wonderfull remarks posted on my work.
Grayson's mom was kind enough to send me the link to this discussion, so i could answer a few questions.
soneil--The only yorkietalk member i have sold a sweater to is graysons mom but she has not received it yet...you had wanted some feedback on the sweaters, but for now, i am only able to show you the positive reviews i have received by my ebay feedback remarks...here isthe link.

chachi--I have made several special orders for interested parties--they were mostly larger sizes. As of now i am only making them one size bigger--up to 12/13 inches. So far all of the larger sized sweaters have required a second skein of yarn, and therefore the larger sweaters sold at $30-$35 including the shipping
Kriston--The high shipping.
I originally had listed the sweaters at $14.99 with a five dollar ship fee however...The listing and final value fee --not to mention the paypal fee wich e bay also owns--and my shipping cost left me with about a seven dollar profit (I do not use cheap yarns in these sweaters and also have to purchase the lace ribbon and clasps on top of it.) I don't have a tax license so i pay retail prices.
A buyer whom i did a special order for, pointed out by
setting the start fee lower-my list fee would go down
setting a higher ship--e-bay cannot charge on ship fees.
As it is, the sweaters start out at $19.99 and it includes the shipping fee. My goal was to make high end looking--cosmopolitan style-- sweaters at reasonable prices.
Shadow, thanks for the great compliment. You are not the first person that has said that they are way to cheap at $20.00. When i first started making them, i was told to try e bay since they would go for big bucks...well that hasn't happened...yet!..lol! My sister in law went to Chicago last month and saw sweaters in just the fancy yarns--no ribbon, no clasp-no style..just a tube sock go for $57.00 in a high end pet store. I contacted the buyer and she said she would pay $15.00 each....sorry!
I have checked the internet under boutique dog apparel, and handmade dog sweaters, I could personally never afford those kind of prices for what is beeing asked for a personal fitted sweaters.
I started making these sweaters just for fun for my Katie....the selling part has actually been quite disappointing lol! I thought $20.00 for the sweaters was a steal! Oh well.
Between e bay, and craft shows, I have managed to spread myself way to thin...(I have lupus and tire extremely easy).
I am taking a break from sweaters on e bay since 1--- I need the break, and 2---I was doing an awfull lot of work for about $7.-$8 dollars a sweater.
I would be more then happy to make some sweaters for the yorkietalk members, but i just cannot sell them any cheaper then $20.00 and I can only do a couple of orders at a time.
I wanted to thank everyone for the fantastic comments on my sweaters, and hopefully soon, I will have a little more time to browse and familiarize myself with the other yorkie lovers...AND learn how to post a pic in here...lol! I tried everything from pasting the url and the http codes in the post....even tried adding <src img....etc
Have a great day/night all
