Let me start out by saying, I have a KING size bed and my husband and I are small people. Thus, both dogs sleep with us. The maltese sleeps at the foot of the bed and the yorkie curls up either next to me or my husband and usually sleeps there all night. Once in a while he will get down (we had to buy some puppy stairs so he could get up and down off the bed since our bed is so high). But 99% of the time, when I wake up, he is in bed with us. I neve worry about rolling on him, nor does my husband. The maltese has been sleeping with us for two years and the yorkie, six months and we've had no problems.
