Did you notice if there was a scab.
Chachi had a spot like that and I didn't know what it was, but then I figured out I had put his hair up too tight, actually had skin in the band. I told the vet and he said he has seen that many times. Now when I put their hair up, I make sure that I can run the tail of the comb under the band.
His hair is growing back in that spot, it's coming in darker tht the rest, I'm hoping it will lighten in time.
