You do remember seeing an ad for one gal who claims to be able to dematt ANY dog!!! With Minimal coat loss Guaranteed!!! But you hear she's pricy, and she takes a long time... cause after all, its not a quick shave... its a time consuming process! Is it worth a shot?? Is your baby's coat that valuable to you???
What would you pay for this kind of service?? A service that almost no other groomer is going to spend a 4 to 8 hour day on.... (one hour on and a half hour off... working in shifts as long as it takes)

tough question (or rather, tough answer) ... what if a trim was an option? I hope I never have to make that decision ... are you facing that now? No!!! you have CM and your babies have beautiful coats .....
