She was about 35 days along and the vet assured me that he could confirm pregnancy with an x-ray. He took one and said, "no." A week later, he took a second x-ray and said the same thing. We left on vacation with Missy, and before we got back home (two weeks) we KNEW she was pregnant. By the time she was due, she was very large and I could feel movement. I even bought a stethoscope and could hear the heartbeats.
I think maybe my vet (at that time) was using old equipment or something. I could understand missing one or two pups, but seven? Doesn't seem right.
