My mom's dog just went through a false pregnancy. It was very sad to watch as it put alot of emotional strain on her. She had all the symptoms of a pregnancy but we knew without any doubt that she was not pregnant. Her stomach got big like one who is pregnant, and her attitude changed. She even produced milk. What was really sad was that she had a toy that she thought was her "baby" and she carried it everywhere and was very protective of it. It took awhile for her to get through it and it took a long time for the milk to dry up.
She is now spayed and we are so happy we will never have to go through that again!!
