She did a fecal while I was there and said it looked a little bloody? She wants to try the easy to digest food and albon over the weekend to see if there's any improvement in the diarrhea and throwing up. I asked her about liver shunt because that's my nightmare but she said Lucy didn't have one. She seems to think it's gastrointestinal. I got my new yorkie puppy about the time Lucy got sick and she said it's possible that Rebel brought a "bug" home with him. (He's not sick at all) I'm a little confused too. There's not a 24 hr vet around here, and I'm going to leave Lucy for the bloodwork, x-rays, etc Monday.....but I'm going to call a vet a few hours from here and talk to him. My daughter in law's mother raises shih tzus and that's the vet she uses.
The vet here couldn't do the bloodwork this afternoon because they have to send it off and it was already 4:00 on a Friday afternoon. She gave me her after hours number and told me to call her if ANYTHING at all came up which made me feel better.
