Hi there. I have a little yorkie who is 4 years old and she had a lot of itching! Then she would get sick and not eat. I quit giving her dog food. I now cook for her and she is doing much better I think. I think she has reactions to corn or something in dry dog food.
Today I talk to a "hollistic vet" today on the phone and told her about my Cassie. She said that people forget that our little dogs are animals and that their systems weren't designed for "human made" dog foods. She told me that I didn't really even need to cook Cassie's meat. That dogs digestive tracts are different than ours and that they digest food much more quickly.
She also told me that vaccinations for our animals aren't necessary...but...I'm not convinced of that point!
Cassie eats gd turkey, carrots, peas, beans, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, etc.She is very spoiled and content! Good luck with your little Yorkie!
