 So far no word from owner
So far, my friend hasn't gotten a reply from the owner of the puppy. However, we did do a little digging on the owner. Her name is Cylie Soileau and we thought she lived in Texas regularly, but she just has a lake house in Lake Charles. Her regular home is in Louisiana. She just told my friend she was in Lake Charles, but after a little research, that is not her "main home." We're guessing she is at Lake Charles for the summer now and has the puppy with her?? If no response today, my friend is going to try to call her this evening. I think she has resigned herself to rescuing him, so we shall see if the lady will let her.
