Dont feel bad, I learned the hard way to. The second week I had Bridget she had an ear infection. The vet showed me how to do it, and explained it really isnt to painfull, which I would say I believe since she doesnt even whimper when I do it. Just be gentle on only pull a few at a time, they even come out by pulling with your finger tips. If you do pull to much at once, then they will let you know.
