and another thing...
i did the same thing pretty much except I had a big crate with one end bedding and water bowl and the other end with a litter box with pad. if i couldnt be on top of him, he was in his crate. i would even try and really watch him while he was in his crate so i could catch him going potty on his pad so i could praise praise praise. i would move the crate to my room at nite. now i leave the crate in my room, that is his nite time spot (same set up) and i have an ex pen set up in the front of the house with pretty much the same set up but more room. i also put a pad out on our screened in porch. if he is not locked up in his ex pen, he will now go to the door to potty on the porch during the day. every time he potties outside he gets alot of praise and treat. he will be 15 weeks tomorrow.
