That's a pitty!!! But when I had my 150 lbs. Leonberger there was of course no way she could go into the cabin with me. I took her for 4 flights and she was lightly sedated by my vet resp. pills he prescribed for the return flight. I think if there is really no other way and you can dress her warm, put her favorite toy and a blanket smelling of you into the crate and give her a mild sedative, she should do just fine. Just make sure you watch the crate go on board, have all the papers ready and get off the plane fast to get to the pick up point.
