That is very typical of a "Puppy Mill" auction.

Sadly, many organizations have tried to stop these horrors but to no avail.

There was a mill here in Indiana that was owned by Amish people and they sort of hid behind their religion so people were afraid to try to stop the, I have heard it is typical for these mills and breeding farms to be run by Amish who have a very different view of animals. More like "livestock" than pets.

Of course other (unscrupulous) people own them too-if you search puppy mills on the web and really research it you won't be able to sleep well. Those of you who are on this message board are way too tender hearted and loving to comprehend such autocities.
