I'm putting an adult yorkie in my puppypurse and I've shown it to my vets because I knew that yorkies have the kneecap problems sometimes and they both say they see no issues with it in their opinion. Boo seems quite comfortable in it and he can bend his legs in it. But if you're not comfortable with it by all means use a different carrier
