You don't doubt Jennier Patti because you know her personally bought 2 dogs from her -- so you are loyal to her (which is understandable and commendable). I don't know her and most YT members don't know her. When one of our members complains about a problem, we all take it personally on his/her behalf. Most of us here at YT are friends beyond the computer. I can tell you that I personally have met and become friends with MANY YT members. We have regular meet-ups and doggie play dates. I have over 20 members telephone numbers and we talk on a regular basis -- not to mention personal e-mail addresses (outside of YT), so we're always chatting back and forth via e-mail. Also, a YT member who I had NEVER met in my life (who is now a very great friend of mine) flew all the way from California to New York to spend time with me when my mother passed away. In addition, many members on YT all got together and ordered a HUGE arrangement of very expensive flowers and had them delivered to the funeral parlor (it was one of the most beautiful floral arrangements there).
So yes, we here at YT are a family beyond the computer and if one of our "seasoned" long-standing members posts a problem, we would naturally believe her over someone we have never met or even heard of and especially someone with only a few posts. I am not at all trying to be argumentative, I'm just trying to explain why we react the way we do when our friends post a terrible situation that they're going through. I hope I have not offended you with my post, as that was not my intention.
