But - but it would be very easy to accidently cut a Yorkie's tail - and there could certainly be some bleeding. This is what may have happened. (plus - how many of you professional groomers out there have ever accidentally cut a wiggley little dog -- or a wiggley big dog for that matter?????)

Personally - I think it's a shame that so many many stories get started (probably with a grain of truth in the beginning) - but once they get going - they certainly seem to pick up steam and a lot of exaggerating takes place, and for some reason - everyone believes them and spreads them further.

Before - you all get up in the air over this one - remember "Pet Smart" is in a position to have a lawsuit also - at least against - the primary person who started what I think is an untrue story about what was supposedly done in their store by their groomers...... with the way this story is spreading - it could certainly hurt their business.

We have had a lot of "untrue stories" spread to a great extent right here on Yorkie Talk - as well as other forums....... not good!!!!!!

**** I am reluctant to spread second-hand stories about people or businesses... as I am sure that a great majority of the stories I hear aren't true - or are exaggerated (and -- anything that is exaggerated - is not true either!) Plus some of these stories aren't even second hand --- they have gone through dozens of people before they reach me - even worse!

PS: -- The only real complaint I have --- is that if anyone accidentally hurts or cuts a pet while grooming them - they should step up to the plate and call the owner immediately and tell them what happened. If something like this happened to one of my pets, I would want to know immediately, and, if he needed to go, I would want to take him to my own vet as soon as possible. Chances are with a "cut" a vet trip might not be necessary - but still proper and immediate care is in order. I'm the first one in the world to understand that accidents happen. I just want to be told as soon as possible when they do.

Ok, I stated this thread so I feel I need to explain. I go to a church... The woman that this happened to used to live down the street from me, and also went to my church for years... was very involved. I know her PRETTY WELL...the friend that told me the story also goes to my church and I know her VERY WELL. She told me what happened. I have not talked to the person it happened to so ok it may not be the right story. I will call the owner today after she gets off work to see if the story has any flaws in it.
This is not a story that was exaggerated on my part. I told you what I was told. I see your point about not letting stories get carried away and the threat of law suite, but if you read my original post i did say i knew the woman... I'll call her today to find out straight from the owner. I have a strong feeling it has alot of truth to it because knowing these two women as I do I can't imagine either one streching the truth to such a degree...Why would she lie? She has people from church come over often and they will see the tail! It could be the tail is just shorter who knows... but I'll make the call because I want to be as honest as I can here...
