That isn't true for all a lot of dogs.. I know of many dogs who did not stop barking with just a spray bottle. Dogs who are pathological barkers will not be detered by anything.. not a shock collar or a water bottle. Pathological barkers are barking because they have to, not for a particular reason. Those dogs have to be treated by a trainer to stop the barking.
