Chewy is a puppy too...6 months. The biting nipping has been a long road... At times when he was on a real roll I would do the time out thing. He would get the point after about the 5th time, and not bite for a long while.
Also As tempting as it may be I would NEVER use the crate as a punishment... It should be your babies bed, his little soft safe place he LIKES. I have tethered Chewy to me when I need to get things done, I gate off the hall upstirs to make it like a huge play pen where he can see me but can't get in my way as I clean my room, or the bathroom...Give him toys and water and food... Your baby wants to be with you... it's a little baby puppy. I know the biting gets old after a while and it really hurts but the cage is not the best place for it when you want to teach it lesson.

I will definately try this out as I am open to anything at this point. I do have plans to enroll her in a class and see if that helps as well.
