The vet was only able to give him a cursory exam because Eddie is a drop-in on a day when he has a full schedule, but the initial report is bad. He thinks it's his cranial cruciate ligament, the same problem Jack had.

My jaw dropped when he told me because there was no impact. At worst, he twisted it. But the vet said that can happen. It could have gradually weakened and then just popped when he twisted it.

I'm holding out a ray of hope because he's yet to do a more thorough exam with x-rays, but I'm bracing for the worst. He wants me to call back at 1:30, which is 45 minutes.

I'm trying not to let myself be too sad. Having been through this with Jack, I know the prospects for recovery and a good life are good. Thanks again for your concern. It really does help.
Just try to stay positive. I know how hard it is. Hopefully it won't be that, but looking on the brighter side, look how quickly Jack recovered? I know it cost a lot and you went through a lot but at least it's not life threatening. Sorry if I'm not helping, I just want you to see the silver lining INCASE it is what the vet says it is. But I will Pray it's not.
