In the dictionary, advice is defined as: "Opinion about what could or should be done about a situation or problem; counsel." (compliments of dictionary.com) So by saying you didn't want to hear what you "should have or could have" done, were you not really wanting advice? Peoples opinion's vary, some feel more strongly than others on their advice in certain situations. My opinion is I don't feel anyone was out of line, just giving "their" advice (what could or should be done) based on what you were asking. Take what was replied and either use it or ignore it. We are all VERY passionate about the yorkie breed and sometimes, people may come across more intense than others...try not to take it as a personal attack

Best of luck to you and your furbabies!
I got this personal message from LC598

Hi ya!!

I've been reading the thread you started about your pup Chewy (cute name, mine looks like Chewbacca) and I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. I haven't posted on your thread. I think some people are being rather judgmental and they shouldn't be at a time like this.

Sorry I can't advise or help with your current situation regarding the skin problems I may be able to help a little with the trust problems.

I adopted a very shy abandoned Yorkie. The best thing we found was time and patience. Calm voices and treats. If Chewy doesn't come to you immediately don't get frustrated or show you are upset, your stress can be passed on to him. Positive reinforcement is the best solution. When he comes to you praise him like hell. Hopefully this helps.

If you ever need a friendly chat, I'll be here for you. I believe you when you say you trusted the breeder.

I hope I've helped a little. Feel free to post this on the thread if you wish.

Take care and give you little pups a big cuddle from me and I hope they are both better real soon.

Lubna

I wanted to see it other people had ever dealt with or known someone who had a pup that was abused.

The other factors of why I brought a dog from the same breeder had nothing to do with what I was asking when I knew he had a skin infection.

I felt that I was attacked for my actions of buying from the same breeder knowing that this pup had an infection.

I just wanted advice on what to do to get Chewy to open up to. His health issues had nothing to do with what I originally posted (I just put the whole story together so people would be able to understand why he was acting do frightened of me) People may mean well, but there is also a way you say things to people & certain members who posted comments where not so friendly & warm (in my opinion & obviously in some other members opinions too)

But Magnolia thanks for the good luck, positive reinforcement seems to be the key & hopefully he will come around more as time passes.
