Karma, I made NO assumptions, I read all you have posted, no sarcasm intended..your inconsistancies are apparent....

Your bought Gia and you were thrilled with the breeder
Glowing letter to the breeder posted on her website
You had Gia for months before you discovered the demodex
You bought Chewy knowing he had skin problems and was being treated
You were warned by your vet not to have him shipped
His flight was delayed 4.5 hours spending almost 10 hours in a crate
Two days after he arrives he is jumping, playing and wants your attention.

None of the above supports the title of your thread! While I am sorry you have these minor health issues theyre all treatable, none are life threatening.

I sincerely hope you and your pups life a long happy life.

With the breeder not responding to any of my emails or phone calls how was I going to get a refund from her? Obviously she is not a trust worthy person & is only into breeding for the $$$ not the well being of the breed The pup is here there's nothing that can be done about that (I would never give him away ).

I don't see how I was wrong by buying from the same breeder if I was pleased with my first pup (why go somewhere else if your happy)

I don't like how you came in this post with your sarcastic comments when all I wanted was advice (whether you were doing it intentionally or not I took it that way)

Chewy was abused anybody who neglects their dogs the way this one has been neglected is abuse. When I was told he had a skin infection, i asked if it was demodex the response was "No" it's just a minor skin infection he's on meds & it will clear up i a few days. (he wasn't even on the right medicine) Why would I have her send him if I knew it was demodex ??? What sense does that make? Yes I knew about a skin infection but I was lead to believe it was minor & not serious at all

The vet even said this pup was abused & you can tell from him actions (he wasn't loved or taken care of at all). I have two other dog (1 from the same breeder and a Maltese from another breeder) when my dogs came of course they were very reserved & stood off but not like this dog. He was near death (his stole sample had so many parasites in it the vet said he'll probably drop a pound by the time he's cleaned out). With 5 days on meds (the right meds) he's cheered up & is coming around (the vet said he looked so much better than Saturday when I first took him)

Like I said before I came here for advice not to be criticized on about my actions & what I thought I did right. For you to constantly go back & forth assuming you knew things about the situation, it really made me angry (here I am going through all of this with my pup & i came here for advice & to vent only to be judged on what I should or could have done differently (I'm not trying to hear that right now) In no way would have I brought again from this breeder if Gia had shown signs of demodex earlier, but it's done & over with. i would never send Chewy back to that place because obviously he wasn't taken care of at all
