I truly believe it really depends on the owner. Not only are my moms dogs really annoying(yappy) but also not housebroken, no manners, walk on the tables, etc. I've heard in general poodles are extremely smart though. Like any animal, it really depends on the owner.
I have a chihuahua and would not recommend that breed to someone because she does not seem to like children(or grownups for that matter) and is basically "my" dog. She's 8 years old so getting rid of her is not an option for me, I do have to put her away when my kids have friends over or if I am watching my nieces. I know there are some out there that are ok with other people but after talking to quite a few who also own chihuahuas it seems that they really tend to be a 'one' person type of dog. She's never been hurt and she will tolerate my kids but she would prefer if they and my husband didn't go near her. Skip the small but adorable chihuahuas(just in case anyone was considering one), at least poodles are more people friendly. |
