This is a long term commitment. A well taken care of small breed dog can have a life expectancy of 12-20 years. You need to decide what you personally want in your new baby. What size do you want? What color do you want? What coat type will you be able to best care for?
There are higher chances of genetic defects with puppies that the parents are related to each other. So, make sure that the breeder that you go to absolutely does not inline breed.
