I took my little rat to the groomer this morning for her first grooming, she is 6 months old.

She has really bad matts on her back and the groomer said to just shave her because it might hurt her. I called my girlfriend end up and she said no way, she'll be so ugly and Cali (yorkie) would have low self esteem.

So we decided to have her get the matts out, which th egroomer said would take about 15 minutes, and go with the original puppy cut.

Anyone had this problem? Will she be scarred for life and never want to go to the groomer? (even though she has no choice...)
