With my last litter, the mom didn't want to have anything to do with the pups after about 7 weeks. I even wrapped her so they couldn't try to nurse, put her in the pen with the pups, and she just would try to claw her way out, paced around and whined until I finally took her out.
Don't get me wrong - - she was an AWESOME mamma dog. Took tremendously great care of the pups up until around 6-7 weeks. Then, she was DONE! |
