Don't all of the registeries have a standard that they accept, which isn't always based off of the AKC standard?

And just because there is a standard doesn't mean that the dogs breed with in that registry will meet those standard. For example Yorkies are suppose to have erect ears and straight silky coats, and I've seen a ton of AKC Yorkies with floppy ears and wavy cottony coats.

Sorry I need some sleep. We have new puppies and I haven't had much sleep. forgive me for getting grumpy.

Like I mentioned before BAMBAM if you are just looking for a pet that you are going to have fixed and not breed or show, get some thing that you like and that is healthy and comes from healthy parents.
