The APRI also has comformation shows. And there are quite a few AKC breeders out there who show in both AKC shows and APR shows. To registar with the APR the puppies have to be out of two register, purebreed dogs.

There are pros and cons to all registries. And unless the dog you get has had DNA work done and you've seen the results, you can never tell for sure if that puppy is actually from the dogs on the pedigree. There are a couple of people on YT going through this, where they went to register puppies and were told by AKC that the puppies couldn't be registered bc they weren't actually from the blood lines that were on the pedigrees.

I say if you find a puppy you like and it's healthy go for it.
