The bronchoscopy was done to find out why she was having such breathing problems. The specialist did the bronchoscopy and after the prodcedure he said it would be 1200-1500 to do the repair and she may not survive the surgery. After much research I decided not to do the surgery. I consulted via phone with Texas A & M Vet school who had done a research study on CT and they sent me the paper. Based on where Gracie's trachea was collapsed, in the thoracic area it said the outcome was not good and many complications after surgery. Money was never an issue as I spent close to 4,000 on her the last year and 1/2 of her life on er vet bills and oxygen chamber visits, but her quality of life was and I did not do the surgery. She lived another 1 1/2 years and I sadly had to let her go at the age of 6 1/2. Gracie's was a severe case and I pray your outcome is much better. I will keep your baby in my prayers.
