I don't let any big dog play with Gus familiar or unfamiliar! First of all Gus is too tiny and can get hurt by just playing. I'm not saying you can't trust big dogs, I'm saying I don't trust big dogs. After Gus's accident I am even more protective with him. My husband thinks I go overboard. But the way I look at it is,,, I'm sure he wouldn't want our son playing football with boys who are 20 to 30 X's his weight. I don't care how gentle they are, it just doesn't make sense to take that kind of a chance.
