I know for me, the treat and a lot of praise worked wonders! Venus will "potty on demand" when outside now! Whatever it takes for her to get a treat!

I keep her in the kitchen most of the day, where my laptop is at, so she sure never gets lonely! I stay on the laptop most of the day!

It did take her a few days to quit playing with the potty pad, and use it. I had to tape them down to the floor

I keep her crate beside my bed, so I can hear her whine to go outside. It took about a week before she quit pooping in the crate. She finally realized that I would get up and take her out when she whined! That first week, she'd go, then whine for me to clean it up.

Be patient. Potty training takes a lot of effort, getting up in the middle of the night, and watching close for signals.
