What a sad story,Darwin was so lucky to find you there are so many people he could have ended up with who would have no idea how to look after him.
I would have loved a parrot but after having cockateils ,I know I could not manage a parrot! I have had oscar for 12 years ,we also had Tina for 10 but she ended up laying so many eggs and depleting her own calcium levels got so low and after visits to the vet she could not take anymore!
So I know how hard taking care of birds is and you have done a geat job with Darwin!!!
